Machrihanish Golf Club is approximately 3 hours drive from Glasgow, the most direct route is by the A83 to Tarbet on Loch Lomond and then continuing on the A83 via Inveraray and Lochgilphead down to Campbeltown. From here follow the signs for Machrihanish only four miles out of Campbeltown.

From Ardrossan, Ayrshire a ferry links with Brodick, Arran (50 minutes). A short drive is required to Lochranza where the seasonal ferry (30 minutes) runs to Cloanaig on the Kintyre Peninsula. The ferry from Ardrossan must be booked in advance. There are ferry links also from Gourock to Dunoon and Potravadie to Tarbert.
